Abercorn Sinclair is proud to partner with Asklepios Biopharmaceutical (AskBio) as they seek to appoint a new role within their in vivo team, this position is based at the Roslin Innovation Centre, Edinburgh.

Their global headquarters is in Research Triangle Park, NC. Additionally, they have significant operations in Philadelphia, PA, Columbus, OH, Scotland, France, and Spain.
The role:
Reporting to the in vivo manager you will provide support in running the molecular biology lab. This is a hands-on role, qPCR, RT-PCR, luciferase & protein assays, with a continuous improvement focus of the assays and protocols.
Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Molecular Biology
- qPCR, RT-PCR, luciferase assays, protein assays, DNA/RNA extractions.
- Introducing new techniques and equipment to improve workflow.
- Establishing new protocols.
- Optimising existing protocols.
- Data analysis – i.e., GraphPad Prism software.
Person Profile:
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Delivering work to tight deadlines.
- Experience of processing large quantity of samples.
- Confident and clear presentation of data, verbally and through written reports.
- Provide support and guidance to existing staff.
- Willingness to periodically work with mice, principally dissections.
The candidate:
This role could suit a degree/MSc qualified candidate with several years of industry or academic experience behind them. We are looking for individuals with strong molecular & organisational skills ideally from a fairly high-throughput molecular lab.
